Alison Ogier-Price (MSc, B.Comm, BA Hons, C.AT, MNZAPP) specialises in the application of the science of positive psychology to organisational wellbeing, and professional and personal development.
She has extensive experience over more than 15 years as an international project manager and business analyst in supporting the management, design, development and implementation of business and IT solutions.
She has worked in the mining, manufacturing, insurance, rail, and banking industries, as well as with smaller business and start-ups.
Her eclectic management approach has allowed her to provide project management consultancy to organisations best suited to highly structured, formal methodologies, as well as less formal 'rapid application development' methodologies. Alison's preferred collaborative leadership approach is supported by her expertise in 'joint application development' principles, which emphasise the involvement of key end-users in designing business outcomes, and reinforce effective change management.
In the lead-up to the Year 2000, Alison was engaged internationally as a consultant and speaker, for business and technical preparations and solutions, for the reduction of risks to business systems. She has recently been engaged to speak on applied positive psychology at several national counselling and psychology conferences, and is editor for the New Zealand Association of Positive Psychology.
Alison's interests are in the application of scientific principles of coaching and mentoring to the training of innovative leaders, towards the empowerment and wellbeing of employees and organisations. These may be engaged through group workshops and individual coaching, with particular attention given to the alignment of organisational and employee values, education for good mental health, and optimising human functioning and experience.
